In-Person Interview is Mandatory


UNIVERSAL Technologies is hiring for Sr. Project Manager for long term project in Long Island City, NY.


SCOPE OF SERVICES: DOHMH is requesting 1 Project Manager to oversee activities for enhancements to the OTPS Accrual System (OAS). Deliverables include:


Phase III


- Enhancements in the Decrease/ Reallocation Module


- Deferred Issue fixes from Phases 1 & 2


- System reports and data views





Job Responsible:



+ PM will coordinate and facilitate meetings, manage timelines and deliverables, manage subject matter experts (SMEs), and ensure that the project is successful.


+ PM will responsible for documentation of meeting notes, minutes and follow up on action items.


+ PM will be responsible for gathering business requirements and documenting functional requirements.


+ PM will work with business to get proper signoffs on deliverables.


+ PM will ensure that project deliverables are delivered on-time.


+ PM will be responsible for tracking issues and risks and escalating to upper management as necessary.


+ PM will be responsible for testing application to ensure business and functional requirements are met.



MANDATORY SKILLS:



+ Experience in gathering and documenting requirements.


+ At least 8+ years of experience as a Project Manager.


+ At least 4 years of overall business analysis experience.


+ At least 5 years of experience in Government Finance.


+ Hands on experience with software development life cycle.


+ Proficient in Microsoft Visio, Power Point, Word.


+ Proficient in creating mock up screens and design.


+ Strong written and oral communication skills.


+ Basic MS SQL queries experience.


+ Knowledge of technology especially web based applications, technical design and system infrastructure.


+ Strong documentation skills (i.e. Business and Functional Requirements, Design documents, and Meeting minutes)


+ Demonstrated proficiency in organization and communication.


+ Ability to understand in detail, new system capabilities and functions.


+ Very strong technology background with good understanding of application development/methodologies.


+ Good interpersonal Sills


+ Problem solving skills


+ Experience with commercial off the shelf (COTS) products


+ Experience with .net web services.



DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: -



+ Experience with understanding Accrual processes in government accounting


+ Experience working on the DOHMH - knowing the PM processes
